Curry County Clerk Appoints Chief Deputy

Annie Hogland, newly appointed Curry County Clerk, due to the tragic loss of Jo Lynn Queener, has appointed a Chief Deputy Clerk to serve alongside her in the Curry County Clerk’s office.

Hogland says, “I am pleased to announce the appointment of Adrian Ancira to Chief Deputy Clerk. While sharing our goals and dedication to public service, I know he will be a true asset to Curry County. He has tremendous work ethic, as well as the knowledge and experience needed to perform our duties.”

Ancira has a Bachelor’s degree from Wayland Baptist University in Justice Administration and is currently employed with the Ninth Judicial District Court Clerk’s office in Clovis; prior to which, he was employed with the Parmer County District Clerk’s office in Farwell, TX for 13 years. Adrian is married to Teresa Ancira (Chavez) of Clovis, NM, and has three sons, Mateo, Julian, and Elias. Ancira in an avid hunter and fisherman, plays guitar with local band “Stateline,” and is the Choir Director at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

Ancira will begin service March 13, 2017.
