County Requesting Members and Alternates for Protest Valuation Board

The Board of Curry County Commission is seeking letters of interest to serve on the County Valuation Protest Board. Each board shall consist of three (3) voting members and three (3) alternates appointed to serve as voting members in the absence of a voting member. The members are individuals representing the public, the State and the appraisal community.

The Protest Valuation Board shall hear and decide protest of determination made by the County Assessor and make a ruling with the evidence presented regarding the valuation of the property in question.

The Board of County Commission will be appointing in June one (1) member and one (1) alternate who is a qualified elector of the public and one (1) member and alternate who has demonstrated experience in the field of valuation of property. The terms of this appointment is for two (2) years.
