Sex Offender Registration

Registrations, updates, and verifications

WEDNESDAYS 8 AM – 12 PM

Under no circumstances can you allow your registration to expire or fail to conduct your 90 day verification visit within the state time limits. If you are unable to check in at the above date and time, please check in with the clerk and explain the reason for your visit.

Records

Reports are generally ready for pickup in 5-7 days. Please call to make sure your report is ready.

If you are listed as the VICTIM on an incident report, your report will be free. Otherwise, a $3.00 charge applies. Please have the following information available when requesting an incident or accident report:

  • Date and time of accident/incident
  • Location of accident/incident
  • Name of deputy who took report
  • Names of parties involved

If an incident/accident report was not completed, we can provide you with a copy of the call log. Call logs are $1.00 per page.

We do NOT have disposition information available at this office. Dispositions are available through the courts or by going to NMCourts.gov.

Case Files – Initial Report $3.00 (plus $1.00 each additional page)
Case Files – DVD/CD copies $5.00 each
Notary Service $3.00

Background Checks

We do NOT conduct background checks for the public. Background checks are available at the Clovis Police Department.

Civil Services

  • The fee for ALL civil services (subpoena, summons, etc.) is $40.00.
  • There is an additional $3.00 charge if the return of service needs to be notarized.
  • Service fees are NON-REFUNDABLE after the first attempt.
  • Service fees can only be waived by order of the court.

Forms of Payment

At this time, the Curry County Sheriff’s Office can only accept cash, money orders, cashier’s checks, or business checks.

NO PERSONAL CHECKS.

Fingerprint Information

The New Mexico Department of Public Safety no longer accepts tradition inked and mailed in fingerprint cards. They will only accept electronically submitted fingerprints from an authorized fingerprinting site.

The CLOVIS POLICE DEPARTMENT is the authorized site for this area. They can be contacted at 575-769-1921 or CityofClovis.org.
