County Clerk’s Office reminds citizens the New Mexico 2020 Primary Election is still slated for June 2, 2020.

The Curry County Clerk’s Office would like to remind residents that at this time, the New Mexico 2020 Primary Election is still slated for June 2, 2020.
The deadline to register to vote, or make changes to a current voter registration, is May 5, 2020. If you would like to verify your current voter information, please visit www.nmvote.org or call the Clerk’s Office at 575-763-5591. Please also be advised if you submitted a new voter registration application or updated your information after February 4, 2020, the information will not be processed until books re-open, beginning April 7, 2020, pursuant to the closure of voter registration by State Law for the recent Municipal Elections.
New Mexico has closed Primary Elections; therefore, you must be registered with a major political party (Democratic, Republican, or Libertarian) to be eligible to cast a ballot in the 2020 Primary Election.
Absentee Ballot Applications are currently being accepted by the Clerk’s Office. In order to receive an absentee ballot by mail, an Absentee Ballot Application must be submitted to the Clerk's Office prior to 5:00pm on Friday, May 29, 2020. Applications may be obtained from the Clerk’s Office by calling 575-763-5591 or submitted online through the NM Secretary of State’s website at www.nmvote.org. The Clerk’s Office will begin mailing out Absentee Voting materials Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
