Curry County Receives Risk Awareness Program (RAP) Award

For Year Eight

SANTA FE, NM - New Mexico Counties presented Curry County with a Risk Awareness Program (RAP) Award during the 2019 NMC Legislative Conference January 17, 2019 in Santa Fe. The county completed its eighth year of RAP with a 13% reduction in the number of workers' compensation claims, 71% reduction in the number of law enforcement claims, and 16% reduction in the number of multi-line claims for 2018. RAP is a workplace risk control education program that aims to reduce the frequency and severity of county claims through better risk awareness and safety practices.

Curry County Manager, Lance Pyle, commends and congratulates County employees for their hard work and dedication to reducing the risk and severity of on-the-job accidents over the past year. As a result of this commitment to safety practices, Curry County will see the benefit on liability insurance rates and administrative cost savings for the County.
